Itinerary

Arrive in the Maldives and meet your tour leader at Malé International Airport. Travel by public speedboat to Kamadhoo Island in Baa Atoll, enjoying panoramic views of scattered islands and open ocean. After check-in, head to the tourist beach for a refreshing swim and sunset relaxation.

In the evening, enjoy an informal briefing on Maldivian marine ecosystems, reef threats, and ongoing conservation initiatives led by local NGOs.

Accommodation: Kamadhoo Inn Hotel, Kamadhoo

Begin your day snorkeling directly from Kamadhoo’s bikini beach, exploring a vibrant house reef rich in reef fish, corals, and turtles. Guided support ensures a safe and responsible experience.

In the afternoon, explore the island on foot, visiting key community sites such as the mosque, school, and medical centre. Discover fruit trees and village life before stopping at a local café to enjoy traditional hedika with black tea. The evening introduces turtle conservation and the Olive Ridley Project.

Travel by boat to nearby coral reefs for guided snorkeling among shoals of tropical fish, reef sharks, and turtles. The afternoon is free to relax on the beach or continue snorkeling Kamadhoo’s house reef. In the evening, attend a presentation on manta ray research and responsible interaction practices.

After breakfast, transfer to Maalhos Island. Spend the morning snorkeling the house reef, known for dramatic drop-offs and abundant marine life. In the late afternoon, explore the island, learning about its sustainability initiatives, including waste management and clean water production.

Enjoy sunset views along the public beach before an evening talk on whale shark research.

Today is dedicated to snorkeling in the world-famous Hanifaru Bay, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve where manta rays and whale sharks gather seasonally to feed. Guided by certified professionals, experience this natural phenomenon responsibly.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a guided sunset kayaking experience across the calm lagoon, watching for eagle rays or sharks below.

Snorkel the waters surrounding Dhonfanu Island, an area known for whale shark sightings during migration season. This open-water experience offers the chance to observe large pelagic species in their natural habitat. While sightings are never guaranteed, the anticipation adds excitement to the day.

Return to Hanifaru Bay for a second snorkeling session, offering a completely new experience influenced by tides and plankton movement. In the afternoon, participate in a community beach clean on Maalhos, giving back to the island that has hosted you. Refresh with fresh coconut water and enjoy a final ocean swim.

After an early breakfast, transfer by public speedboat back to Malé, bringing your journey through Baa Atoll to a close with lasting memories of marine encounters, island culture, and conservation-focused travel
