Itinerary

Arrive in Livingstone and receive a warm welcome from a local safari representative before transferring to Victoria Falls Waterfront Lodge, peacefully set along the Zambezi River. After check-in, the afternoon is yours to unwind—relax by the riverbank, enjoy the gardens, or watch vervet monkeys and birds moving through the trees.

In the late afternoon, depart for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, one of the most iconic experiences in Southern Africa. As the boat glides along calm waters, you’ll spot hippos surfacing, crocodiles basking on the banks, and elephants crossing the river at dusk. The golden light, gentle breeze, and changing colors of the sky create a magical first safari moment. Return to the lodge in the evening for a briefing on the exciting days ahead.

Accommodation: Victoria Falls Waterfront Lodge

After breakfast, set out on a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya—“The Smoke That Thunders.” Walk through rainforest paths as thunderous water plunges into the gorge, creating mist, rainbows, and unforgettable viewpoints. This experience offers both natural beauty and fascinating insight into the geology and history of the falls.

In the afternoon, visit Mukuni Village, one of the oldest traditional villages in the region. Guided by a local resident, learn about daily village life, customs, and tribal traditions. Explore the local market, interact with artisans, and gain a deeper understanding of Zambian culture before returning to the lodge for a relaxed evening.

Depart early for Botswana, crossing the Zambezi River at Kazungula with guided assistance through immigration. By mid-morning, board a safari boat and begin a Chobe River cruise, widely regarded as one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in Africa. Drift quietly past massive elephant herds, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and prolific birdlife along the riverbanks.

After lunch, head out on an afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park, exploring floodplains and woodland areas where lions, giraffes, zebras, and antelope roam. Return to the lodge in the early evening to relax after a day rich in wildlife encounters.

Accommodation: Chobe Safari Lodge

Wake up early to the sounds of the bush and head out on a sunrise game drive, the best time to find predators still active from the night. Watch as the park slowly awakens, with elephants moving toward the river and birds filling the skies.

Return to camp for lunch and downtime before enjoying a late-afternoon boat cruise on the Chobe River. This offers a completely different perspective of the park, with close-up wildlife sightings and beautiful reflections as the sun sets. The day ends back at the lodge, where the sights and sounds of the African night close your safari experience.

After an early breakfast, depart on your final transfer. Guests are dropped off at Kasane, Victoria Falls, or Livingstone Airport for onward travel, bringing an unforgettable safari journey to a close.
