Naivasha You’ll be met by a Esci Travel & Holidays representative and transferred from Jommo Kenyatta International Airport to Lake Naivasha . Your journey begins with a descent into the Great Rift Valley, a vast geological trench formed millions of years ago by tectonic forces that continue to shape East Africa today. This dramatic backdrop sets the stage for your first immersive encounter with Kenya’s wild landscapes at Hell’s Gate National Park—one of the few parks in Africa where humans are not merely observers, but participants in the ecosystem. Unlike traditional safaris confined to vehicles, Hell’s Gate offers a rare, almost primal experience: walking or cycling alongside wildlife. This proximity transforms the safari from passive viewing into a sensory journey—where the sounds of hooves, the rustle of dry grass, and the calls of birds become immediate and personal. Towering basalt cliffs and narrow gorges—most notably the Ol Njorowa Gorge—tell a story of volcanic activity and erosion, their layered rock faces acting as a natural archive of Earth’s history. Wildlife here reflects the openness of the terrain: herds of zebra and gazelle move fluidly across the plains, while buffalo and eland graze in quieter pockets. Above, raptors such as Verreaux’s eagle dominate the thermals, illustrating the park’s role as both a terrestrial and aerial ecosystem. In the afternoon, the landscape softens as you arrive at Lake Naivasha, a freshwater oasis set against acacia woodlands and volcanic hills. This lake is ecologically significant—not only for its biodiversity but also as a crucial water source in an otherwise semi-arid region. A boat ride reveals a different dimension of wildlife interaction: hippos submerged like living islands, fish eagles calling with haunting clarity, and a remarkable density of birdlife that reflects the lake’s productivity. The absence of crocodiles—due to the lake’s cooler, high-altitude waters—creates a rare environment where humans and water-based wildlife coexist with minimal threat, allowing for activities that would be impossible elsewhere in the Rift Valley. The surrounding farms and vineyards offer a subtle but important narrative: Kenya is not only a land of wilderness but also of evolving agricultural innovation. Your evening at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge is thus framed by both natural serenity and human adaptation to this fertile landscape L. Naivasha Simba Lodge 1 nights • L. Naivasha Simba Lodge Set on the tranquil shores of Lake Naivasha, Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge is more than just a place to stay, it’s an immersive encounter with Kenya’s softer, more intimate wilderness. What makes this lodge truly captivating is the way it dissolves the boundary between comfort and nature. Step onto your private veranda and you may find giraffes gliding silently between acacia trees, waterbucks grazing just meters away, or the distant call of a fish eagle echoing across the lake. Here, wildlife is not something you drive to see, it comes to you, effortlessly and unexpectedly. The lodge itself is thoughtfully designed to reflect the rhythm of its surroundings. Spacious cottages are spread across lush, well-maintained grounds, allowing guests to feel both secluded and connected to the landscape. The architecture blends modern comfort with natural elements, creating a calm, grounded atmosphere that invites you to slow down and absorb the environment. Evenings are particularly magical. As the sun sets over the Rift Valley, the sky transforms into a canvas of warm golds and deep purples, mirrored perfectly on the still waters of the lake. The air cools, the sounds of the day fade, and the quiet presence of nocturnal life begins to emerge, hippos grazing nearby, unseen but unmistakably close. Beyond relaxation, the lodge serves as a gateway to a variety of unique experiences. From serene boat rides among hippos to guided nature walks and nearby explorations of Hell’s Gate National Park, every moment here feels both enriching and effortless. Lake Naivasha

Masai Mara National Reserve is a year-round safari destination with abundant wildlife, but the best viewing — including the iconic wildebeest migration — is during the dry season, late June to October.
The Great Migration is the year-round, clockwise movement of over a million wildebeest, zebras, antelope, and predators between Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara, driven by weather, grazing, and breeding cycles.
Ideally, a minimum of 3 days and 2 nights is perfectly okay. This will give you enough time to explore and view the entire variety of wildlife and sceneries in the park.
To make most out of your safari; here is a list of to do activities: Safari Game Drives, Hot Air Balloon Safaris, Masai Village Tours, Nature & Bush Walk, Picnics in the wild as well as Bush meals and sundowners.
Your tent at Mahali Mzuri is your window onto some of the world’s most spectacular scenery.
